About us
We are a group of dedicated Reborn, Porcelain and Cloth Doll artists, and Antique Doll and Bear collectors with a wide and diversified range of knowledge who want to see our hobby and the passion for our hobby stay alive by promoting the love of Dolls and Bears at our competitions and shows.
Over the years we have had many world-renowned artists come to participate in our shows and teach workshops, from advanced hair rooting, to painting using various mediums, to sculpting a doll from scratch.
We are always happy to hear what “you” would like to see and do at our shows.
In addition, it is important for us as a group to give to those less fortunate by donating a sum of money each year to a charity.
In conjunction with our competition and display we have demonstrations and workshops available for all to attend.
Annual Competition and Show
The 2023 competition and show will be held on Saturday 7th October (10:00am - 4:00pm) and Sunday 8th October (10:00am - 3:00pm) at Fullarton Park Community Centre, 411 Fullarton Road, Fullarton.
The entry price is just $7, with children under 12 free. A two day pass is $10.
Full details of the competition, and how to enter, can be found here.
Demonstrations
We have been very lucky over the years to have had many great local artists give up their time to do Reborn Doll demonstrations from hair rooting, to using powders, to using air dry paints. These demonstrations are free, so come and have a play. Don’t be afraid to ask questions; there is always someone willing to help.
Workshops
Each show we try to offer workshops that allow the doll maker to grow in their hobby, perhaps by trying different methods of painting, or types of paint, or to try their hand at something new, like sculpting.
Please let us know what you would like to do or learn!
Details of the October 2023 workshops can be found here.
